Born and raised in Liverpool, England, Paul McIver has spent over 20 years immersed in sport and human performance. His journey began with Olympic freestyle wrestling before transitioning into golf, which he played from a young age through to 20.
Alongside this, he was always involved in a wide range of athletic disciplines — including boxing — and began training in the gym from as early as 12 years old.
At 20, Paul shifted his focus into Olympic weightlifting while developing a strong foundation in mobility and movement. By 23, after years of hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, he formalised his path by studying advanced personal training.
In 2015, Paul made the decision to leave the UK to pursue coaching opportunities abroad, starting in Thailand. After briefly returning home and realising that lifestyle wasn’t for him, he committed fully to building his career internationally.
From South Korea to Southeast Asia, Paul gained extensive coaching experience working with a wide range of clients and athletes.
During this time, he was also involved in supporting the return of a professional footballer to Burnley FC, gaining exposure to elite-level performance environments.
In 2018, he returned to Southeast Asia, continuing to coach and travel — including time across South America — before settling in Bali in 2019.
Since then, Paul has built a strong reputation on the island for delivering structured, results-driven coaching. Through his work, he has helped elevate training standards within established gyms and is known for his high-performance approach.
Paul specialises in helping clients achieve real, lasting results. Whether the goal is fat loss, muscle gain, improved mobility, or overall performance — every programme is tailored to the individual.
